Glad Kennedy called him out. But I don't like his line of questioning. Wouldn't a better followup question be "Why would the directer of the FBI say something like that? What would be the motive?"

Instead he talks about Sasquatch. His cornpone routine is wearing thin.

SEN. JOHN KENNEDY: “Is there any doubt in your mind or in the collective mind of the FBI that President Trump was shot in the ear by a bullet fired by the assassin?”

FBI DEPUTY DIRECTOR PAUL ABBATE: “There is absolutely no doubt in the FBI’s mind … There never had been.”

SEN. KENNEDY: “It wasn’t a space laser?”

ABBATE: “No.”

SEN. KENNEDY: “It wasn’t a murder hornet?”

ABBATE: “Absolutely not.”

SEN. KENNEDY: “It wasn’t Sasquatch?”

ABBATE: “No, Senator.”

SEN. KENNEDY: “Glad we cleared that up.
