Well, here's my take on the delay in earnings. From the bits and pieces I've picked up, it sounds like Eco really wanted to announced the DBCO buyout - have a conference call on that - then follow it with earnings then have another conference call on that. My feeling was that earnings would be good or great and that would dispel any doubts regarding the uncertainty of DBCO.

So why not announce earnings now that DBCO is out? Well, if you read some of the comments on the Yahoo DBCO thread, it doesn't look the deal is dead yet. And the Board of Directors may have found ways of ousting management. Could be that Eco still thinks that something will get resolved in the near future and McGinnis will be able to have a friendly deal with the Board of Directors and something could be announced before earnings.

Interesting this movement we've had in February. IBD and those computer programs describe Eco as under accumulation (a 'B' rating on IBD). If you look at the chart for this month:

quote.yahoo.com

We've been moving up from near 11 to 12 slowly - taking about 4 days and about 500k shares, then we drop back more quickly on 100k to 200k shares, and start the process again.

Could be that a few can sell or short a few shares near 12 and it gets people nervous and wondering whether the company is really comfortable with estimates.

Looks like earnings will be next week, which may have been the signal for those accumulating to play the game one more time. With earnings as early as Monday, it will be interesting if we see the accumulation begins again tomorrow.
