Pocotrader,
Curious why Putin agreed to this deal. is he feeling some heat in Russia? maybe he wanted someone back really bad?
The WSJ has a follow-up article on that:

Who Is Vadim Krasikov? The Dark Figure at the Center of Putin’s Prisoner-Swap Demands (WSJ)
Russian president sought release of convicted murderer Vadim Krasikov to show he doesn’t abandon loyalists

You see that? Why would PooTin NEED to show that right now? Isn't this already a given?

People who are loyal to PooTin get richly rewarded no matter how bad they are at their jobs.

People who are good at their jobs but dare to upset PooTin's delicate house of cards get pushed out of a window. Or shot out of the sky. Just ask Master Chef Prigozhin.

There are two possibilities:

a) PooTin is really feeling the heat from his inner circle thanks to his three-day war of choice. It's not all sunny skies for him despite what the PooTin cucks believe. Hence he felt desperate enough to agree to the prisoner exchange.

b) PooTin doesn't care about the war as much as we might think. Nor does he care about who becomes president of the United States as much as we might think. Hence he simply decided that keeping Evan Gershkovich around a bit longer simply wouldn't have made any difference whatsoever.

I'm inclined to believe the second possibility. PooTin really is in a bubble of alternate reality. He isn't feeling any heat from the war, and none of his trusted inner circle wants to give him any bad news, such as RuZZia continuing to lose thousands of soldiers and dozens of armored vehicles every week.
