If I may comment on MAKOX, which I own, I would say that John Templeton's choosing it as a vehicle for investing in Korea means that it is probably the most economical way of holding a diversified portfolio of Korean stocks. Templeton could easily have bought stocks directly himself if that were the better way to do it.
