For the record, I was involved in none of those, didn't like the "people involved".
I know you won't believe this but an aquaintance of mine and myself after discussing with the Bre-X people about their numbers etc, did not feel right about it??......This was when it was still $4.50/sh, almost jumped, but something did not feel right. we both felt then that some one was going to be burned big time, in hindsight I still wish I had picked some up, it was still a great opportunity for at least a year.
When I first looked at Bre-X, it was very tempting, and as we watched it progress, we asked ourselves again, what did we oversee, it took a year and a half for our decision to be vindicated, and what we discussed back in 95 was very prophetic. We stated a big time hit, we never in the world imagined how big it would become.
As I have always stated, 90% of these junior plays are nothing more than paper, you can still make money on them depending on if you don't wear out your welcome, occasionally along comes a situation that begs to be different, and those are the ones you can profit from on a longer term ride(horizon)?

P.S.Bre-x still caused me some losses, strictly from the market washout that all suffered last year, it was mostly give backs, still had a good year?
