Other than speech that is inciting violence all speech is protected by the 1st amendment. "hate speech" anyway is a construct of the Left in an attempt to silence dissent. The way they categorize anything they dont like as "hate speech" is absurd. Of course "free speech" is really protecting speech that criticizes and questions the govt not necessarily between individuals. Companies have a right to limit speech of their employees ie code of conduct etc
