1. CSCO is coming on strong in RAC. In 1996, it was 25 points
behind ASND. Now it is 16 behind.

2. CSCO is improving in RAS too. Its lead over ASND went
from 12 to 13 percentage points.

3. ASND gained RAS share in 1997.

The remote access servers market continued to lose market share to remote access concentrators. Cisco's market share grew more than 6 percent in 1997, despite its revenue declining 7.6 percent. Four of the top five vendors' revenue declined in 1997 (see Table 2).
