Pocotrader, I think I figured it out. It's another clever move by the Harris campaign, who quite frankly is playing a good game of chess.

One thing conservatives always complain about is how the left took fathers out of the family. This is especially true among Black Americans, most of whom grew up without a father.

Check this out, from the America First Policy Institute, a pro-Trump think tank:

Fatherless children are more likely to suffer from psychosocial development issues, live in poverty, drop out of school, engage in school violence, abuse substances, and enter the juvenile justice system.
In light of this, Walz is being portrayed as a "father figure" that many leftists never had.

If Trump and JD were smart, they'd take this as a confirmation of conservative family values that the GOP has always stood for.

Of course, I wouldn't bet on them being this smart ...
