Tenchu's Thoughts: Role-Reversal
It was almost two years ago when I was excoriating Kamala Harris for her bizarre comments while at the Korean DMZ:

Fast-forward to today. She's now the presumptive nominee, and she's sounding ... er ... not that bad these days.
Compare this to Trump, who just recently had another facepalm moment:

That's not what inflation is, you absolute idiot.
Inflation is, of course, when you pay more for the exact same size, or the exact same quantity.
If anything, what you're demonstrating MIGHT be "shrinkflation," where manufacturers sell you smaller sizes or smaller quantities for the same price.
But I get it. It's an illustration. It's symbolism.
And it's supposed to be humorous.
Except ... I could hear the crickets in that video. Even the audience full of Trump supporters were thinking, "What. The. Brandon?"
Basically Trump completely flubbed that joke. If he were a stand-up comedian, he'd be pelted by a rotten tomato.

Also, while watching that clip, I was thinking that Trump sounded like a senile Mr. Rogers, holding up those two Tic Tac packages like they're figurines:
It's clear to me that Trump is becoming senile. He's starting to talk like a child, or like the audience is filled with nothing but elementary school children.
And this isn't the only example.
- Whether he's posting about Kamala's crowd sizes and how they're nothing but AI-generated images ...
- Or whether he's pining for the days when he was running against Brandon or Obama or even Hillary ...
- Or whether he's making shit up about Venezuela emptying their jail cells and sending criminals to America ...
- Or whether he's fawning over PooTin and Kim Jong-Un and how he's going to sweet-talk them into peace ...
It's plainly obvious that Trump isn't all there.
I can imagine Trump traveling to the Korean DMZ like Harris did in 2022, then talking about something totally irrelevant like, you know, crowd sizes, or Tic Tacs, or whether Kamala really is Black, etc. etc.
Meanwhile, I can see Harris transforming into a fraction of the celebrity that Barack Obama was (and still is). And she'll do it by not sounding like such a ditz anymore.
In other words, it's a total role reversal.
Kamala Harris sounds like the smart, grounded candidate, while Trump sounds like his head is in the clouds.
