LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 10, 1996--

Represents $4.2 million in revenues

The Kushner-Locke Co. (NASDAQ/NNM:KLOC) will co-produce, in association with Sandollar Productions,
and distribute worldwide country singer and actress Dolly Parton's new CBS television movie "Unlikely Angel"
for airing on CBS during the upcoming holiday season, according to company co-chairmen Peter Locke and
Donald Kushner.

The two-hour $4 million budgeted production is a warm and comedic holiday tale starring Parton ("9 to 5,"
"The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas," "Steel Magnolias") as a Christmas week angel matchmaker trying to
bring happiness to a widower and father of two, played by actor Brian Kerwin ("Sins of Silence," CBS;
"Switched at Birth," NBC).

Parton will also write and perform original songs for the movie.

"Unlikely Angel" is based on a teleplay by Liz Coe and Robert L. Freedman, and will be directed by Michael
Switzer.

Principal photography is scheduled to begin Oct. 21 on Los Angeles locations, according to Kushner-Locke
Television President Rob Dwek.

"Unlikely Angel" executive producers are Sandy Gallin, Gail Berman, Dolly Parton, Peter Locke and Donald
Kushner.

Kushner-Locke is a leading independent entertainment company engaged in the development, production and
distribution of television programming and the development and production of feature films for theatrical
release and direct release to home video and cable.
