E., with all the talk of Intel here lately, lest anyone think Intel is "going after" smaller fish with that plant, that's not the main idea. It's going to be their "pilot" plant for 300 mm (12 inch) wafer, 0.13 micron technology development. What develops there will then be copied over to production plants around the world that need 300 mm, 0.13 micron capability.

Is this becoming an Intel thread? Fine with me, some good minds here to opine on Intel et al, as well as LSI. I'm personally getting tired of LSI.
