The sector had this idea that efficiency od datacenter would save the day. Now that datacenter efficiency will not. the efficiency moved to computing. Of course the engineers are hard at work fine tuning the systems, but the consumtion keeps going up. Why? Because the more efficient you make the more people will use it! Spread datacenters and compuete where it is cheap and contacted. The CEO read my posting about Next week I have a discussion with a company to help them. Renewable energy is expensive at peak hours Because of this, we predictably pause our workloads for 10% of the day. With a slight increase in training time, we’re able to offer a cost of compute that other GPU clouds can’t compete with. The same way Mini mills use scrap iron to produce steel using electricity during off peak hours.
