Her father was an AP journalist who brought many notable people in and out of her life.
Mary sent me this pic a couple of years ago. I'm glad to have stumbled upon it again tonight.

Talk about notable people in her life, here she is on Joe Rosenthal's lap, the American photographer who took the Pulitzer Prize winning picture of the Marines raising the American flag on Iwo Jima!
