I agree with the Macalope's take as well as your own. But while Apple(and Tim Cook) have beat the odds and continued to prosper, at some time, someone might be right about predicting an Apple downfall. That is why reading through the doomsayers, while important, needs to be taken with a grain of salt as well.

As to Elon Musk having a humbling experience, that is one of the things his buying of Twitter will prevent from happening, at least for a long time. He gets to be in his own little echo chamber so it will be difficult for him to realize when he makes mistakes
