It seems likely that Hunter Biden was selling classified information that Joe Biden had illegally removed from the White House.

In 2014, Hunter Biden wrote up a detailed analysis of the Ukraine political and oil situation. The analysis seems to be based on quite a bit of inside information.

At that time, Joe Biden was the head of Ukraine policy at the White House. Also, Joe Biden was caught stealing numerous classified documents and taking them home. Some of those documents contained exactly that type of insider analysis. For example:
