Technically, an alias is immortal. Personally, I'm the fourth person from my home planet using this earth name alias.

But in all seriousness, our legacy -- important to so many of us -- in actuality is completely based on the fleeting glimpses and impressions of us by others. Worse, our obituaries are a few sentences written by whoever feels compelled to write one, assuming anyone does. That being said, I suppose our social media posts will live "forever"... assuming anyone really cares to find and read them. And if that has any allure to anyone here, consider that the next time you post a picture of what you are about to eat for lunch.
