Is Apple missing out on something new? AI, maybe?

That's kinda hard to say really. From where I'm sitting Apple is being smart about AI, in that it's not spending gazillions developing its own LLM; instead it's latching on to OpenAi's technology. Apple's foray into AI, if I recall correctly, was a disaster--Exhibit A being Siri (what a piece of sh**t! and still is after over a decade). The most important question to me is what will Apple do with Apple Intelligence. Execution is everything. I'm looking forward to seeing the great unveil on Sep 9.
