Teachers unions are for the teachers and not the students.
Agreed, but that only underscores their desire to protect their teachers from COVID-19.

"But but children won't die from COVID!" Yes, but they can still transmit it and give it to the grown-ups.

And a LOT of those grown-ups have "grown up" to near retirement age, which puts them at higher risk of death.
