Took Apple a long time to transition to ARM chips but they finally got it right combining others tech with their improvements.

Mac transition to Apple silicon

Those PPC processors were pretty quick but hot... I melted one but to my surprise the used G4 I bought was still under warranty and they replaced it.

Voice/AI is potentially the best interface for small devices which brings up the horror of audio advertising. Might be worth it to me to switch over that problem someday.
