As to "poison", everything is a poison in the right dose.
Even dihydrogen monoxide.

When I go go an MRI, they take into account how many times previously that I've had contrast agents. They use it only when necessary.

As to "improves the MRI results", yes it does.

MRI is a fascinating topic - worthwhile to learn about.
