Some friends of mine had a Shelty which decided to take a swim one day, jumped from a boat dock, and some how got caught underneath of it long enough to render it unconscious. I guess one of their sons jumped in and retrieved the dog because they did manage to get it back to the dock. Frantic over the apparent demise of their friend, a stranger just happened to be near, and, believe it or not, administered mouth to snout resuscitation. The dog lived, but would never go into the water again.

You're right about collars in general. When I was young my parents had gotten a Beagle pup, and because we were visiting my grandparents at the time, decided to leave the dog in the car over night. Next morning, the dog was hanging from the steering column gear shift. It had strangled to death. As much as we'd like to think it could never happen . . .

So how do ya all do with flea control. Methods?
