No it isn't. It drives the very demand for illegal immigration.

You've heard it over and over again. Solve the problem of illegal immigration by going after the employers.

It never works because there is ALWAYS a demand for illegal immigration, just like there is always a demand for illegal drugs.
Ive never understood why if low cost foreign workers are essential why we don't raise legal immigration limits.
Because the issue is the new third rail of politics.

Liberals want to open up the borders AND raise legal immigration limits.

Conservatives want to close the borders AND tighten up legal immigration limits.

Neither side wants to give the other an inch. Even the most recent bill that Brandon and Harris supported was killed due to MAGA politics.

As for me, I've always been for tightening up the border AND raising legal immigration limits, but I'm in the minority.
