I don't know about dell, Mike. I primarily use options to hedge, and not that often, usually if I want to take a bearish stance. And I generally sell covered calls for that purpose. My risk level on options may not be as high as yours because I have stock that would tax me to death if it were called away -- so, I maybe "back out" or roll over sooner than I should. Maybe there's a vastly different picture in the put/call ratio for Dell and cpq. I've never played any options on these stocks and haven't even seen the CBOE chart on them. Have you done any comparison of the put/calls for the Febs on these 2 stocks? I'd be very interested in the opinion of a frequent options trader. dulane
