Interesting story.

I assume that the indigenous people have extensive experience in developing a multi-billion cubic tonne mine excavation site and how it affects the environment. Have these people every been to Nain.

This apparent admission of environmental guilt by INCO in Sudbury in not evident when you are in Sudbury. I have been there many times and the majority of the visual environmental damage (moonscape)is due to clear-cutting of every tree in sight.

The "cradle to the grave" concept is not a new concept in mining and it is not proprietary to INCO, it has been the MO in the industry for several years. The environmental nightmares stirred up by the fear-mongers are always based on 1920 mining practices. This will be one of the biggest obstacles WHOEVER develops Voisey will face. Lets hope the abuse of environmental laws to further small interest groups ends soon.
