I could be very wrong, but from what I'm looking at this could be only the beginning of a more severe decline... The Dow Theory non confirmation occurs when the DOW 30 makes a new high and the Transports do not, this would be a non confirmation top... But, I'm looking at the SPY and the QQQ and using the same model, the SPY for the general market made a new all time high and the QQQ for the high teh market did not... Between those two instruments, we have a non confirmation in effect while both are moving lower... I know this is September, but it's only the first week, we could continue downward for the next few weeks before this is all over and these averages could bottom much lower than where they closed just yesterday... Of course, I could be very wrong, but I'm just looking at the charts and the overall patterns, it doesn't look like any type of bottom yet... GZ
