Gary, I do not understand the business of CIENA that well. But I checked a comment from Briefing.com telecomm equipment section, updated for 2/20/98. Briefing maintains that the CIENA problems are company and stock specific. The question remains what is the relation between RAC equipment and DWDM equipment. If cutting down the orders of DWDM would affect RAC business any way. To me they appear to be independent of each other. I would be concerned if WCOM says they will cut down overall spending. POSITIVE spin may that they will spend on RAC, ATM, FR etc, which might be great for ASND. Another objective fact is that ASND now has multiple 10% + customers. Overall NW demand should be great. What do you think all the DELL, CPQ, other millions PCs and SERVERS need. They need to be networked. What do you think. Welcome some sincere opinion on this from someone i the NW field Thanks again Gary for your input. Regard, BR.
