BB- Be very careful with PGEN. Are you good at catching falling knives? If I was interested in a genomics company why wouldn't I use the established technology from INCY or perhaps AFFX? What is the future of "developmental genomics"?, and what are the possible steady income streams from this technology? In diagnostics of rare disorders? In licensing databases? Do they have a proprietary database? For these types of companies to turn profits on a steady basis, they or a partner need to develop drugs. This is a very long process. Typically winter and spring are weak times for biotechs. A couple of young companies to check out include LGND and REGN. Other established companies that won't give you a quick double but will be steady include PFE, MRK and LLY. I am a lurker on the oil drillers thread as I am looking to get into this sector over the next couple of months and I have my deep drillers and services companies lined up. Specifically DO, RIG, MDCO, TMAR, ESV and PKD. I missed the last run since I sold out of GLM and MDCO too soon. Any comments?
