I haven't been there for quite a while. I should visit it myself again.

I've used Datek for about a year. Worthless for daytrading, reacting to short term moves in the market. They are getting better, but their servers are not reliable, especially at critical moments (market open and close) for either quotes or executions. I've had 10% gains turned into 10% losses because my browser connections were repeatedly refused for several minutes at end of day, start of day. October was a total disaster. If you call them, it's hit or miss finding someone who is knowledgeable, and can really help you. If you email them, you might get a response in a month, and they will have pretty much overlooked what you wrote to them in the first place and ask you to tell them all over again. You have a better chance of getting their attention here on SI. That's a shame.

What is sad is that they may be the best in this new business for the type of service they are. (I'm excluding true real time, continuous, data feed services, and direct to market execution services.) It really depends on how you intend to use them. Probably just fine for entering limit orders for stocks you have researched and want to get into and out of positions at your price, but if you're thinking in terms of real time action, I would look elsewhere.
