I've been in and out of lGND. At present I am long only and not trading. It might take a while, but I want to be holding when and if LGND pops.
Since there has been some discussion about the news releases, let's take a look and see what one of them means. Comments are welcome!

It's a newly created position. The positive side is that Ligand might be getting ready for another corporate function. The negative spin would be that Ligand needed a slot to reward one of their members of management. Any comments?

What commercial products? Perhaps this is a misstatement. Might we get a corrected release tomorrow saying "products under development" rather than "commercial products"? I guess that it is possible. If Ligand doesn't correct the news release, then what do they mean by commercial products? Could they be interested in selling peanut butter after reading this thread?

Could they be referring to the drugs under development? Why would they need someone in charge of manufacturing, etc., at this stage in testing? I guess it is possible. Could they be referring to the "ramping up" towards commercialization of products after FDA approval? Hmmmm!? They did say commercial products". To me this is a significant news release. It should have a positive effect on LGND tomorrow. Perhaps we'll see a move up of around 3/8? Anyone got an opinion?
