I'm a world authority on apostrophe's
I assume, then, that your use of one in that sentence was meant to be ironic...
they would even let you grab them by the pussy The word let means he meant they have control
The word, let, does indeed mean that. The word, grab, however, is at play here, too. Grab means to seize suddenly or unexpectedly. It is illogical to let someone do something suddenly or unexpectedly. It has happened to you before you are aware of it, which excludes the potential for having control over it happening. You can't let someone do something sudden or unexpected before hand. Your rebuttal on word choice fails.
When you get into the details of word choice, Trump's expression only makes sense is if, when Trump attacks a woman in that way, they "let" him get away with it either because they liked it or because making a fuss would prolong the bad experience or harm them in some way. It is utterly illogical that they "let" him do it. The women have control only over how they handle the incident after the fact. |
