Your parsing was false. Words mean what the user of the words intended them to mean.

Just think about that for a minute. The point of using words is to communicate, which implies that there is a standard definition. Words evolve and some have multiple meanings, even contradictory meanings, in which case one could reasonably say he meant meaning 1 while the listener thought it was meaning 3. But "cake" doesn't ever mean "grass."

I actually looked up "let" and "grab" before I posted to be sure I was on solid ground.

Grab, per Webster's: to take or seize by or as if by a sudden motion or grasp
BTW, only one of poco's apostrophes was incorrect.

Can't argue with that, in general. But I think that the actions have been measured. And irritating or frustrating more than torturing. In any event, what's the alternative? Appeasement. Yuck.

"nuke thing" won't suddenly arrive somewhere near you.
