When manufacturing plants move to China, where they can burn coal with zero carbon taxes, the infrastructure here that supported manufacturing soon breaks down and everything else soon gets grabbed up so just a financial wasteland is left behind. We still buy stuff manufactured by cheap coal energy, but the jobs and economic security have left the country. That is a problem. No (or very little) income.
