Consider adding resistance training to retain muscle strength.

There is an interesting technique to get the benefits of a full workout with less weight. Adding blood flow restriction means that you generate the same metabolites as with a heavy workout while lifting 1/3 as much. The burning sensation of a hard workout remains but the recovery time is much quicker. Recovery is what limits us old folk. If I need 5 days to recover I can never get enough frequency, using blood flow restriction means I can lift again in 1 day. Kaatsu is the premier brand.
