| | | I think seafood, vegetables and fruit are the smart diet.
We have a great seafood market in my city.
And they have great lox, and a great selection of very fresh fish and other seafood.
IMO, there is a lot a person can do to live a healthy long life with nutrition.
The key is to protect the inner organs, cells and DNA from damage.
Green tea e.g. has lots of anti oxidants, anti-inflammatories, and polyphenols, all of which protect DNA and cells from free radicals, and the stress from inflammation, and neutralizes certain cancers. An interestingly research has shown Earl Gray tea works well. I put three tree green tea bags and one Early Gray in a cup and drink it throughout the day.
Omega 3's, as you know, are being found to really help prevent dementia, and keep the heart and cardio vascular system young, clear of plaque, and pliable. And they help the eyes.
And other vegetables really help prevent all types of cancer.
Anti-inflammatory supplements These include omega-3 fatty acids, curcumin, S-adenosylmethionine, zinc, green tea, frankincense, capsaicin, and cat's claw. Omega-3 fatty acids are found in fatty fish like salmon and tuna.
Anti-inflammatory foods These include tomatoes, olive oil, green leafy vegetables, nuts, fatty fish, and fruits like strawberries, blueberries, cherries, and oranges. The Mediterranean diet is an example of an anti-inflammatory diet because it encourages omega-3 fatty acids.
