That is very logical, and one would think that, but how do we then explain the fact Trump is still running neck and neck with Harris?
Maybe we are projecting the fact we can see it clearly, and not able to envisage people who cannot?
I do think pointing out how stupid they are being though is the correct one. They need to know that.
People do not mind being MAGA, but no one wants to be seen as stupid. Although given Trumps behavior, one would think they would be embarrassed to support him!?
The Republican party has ceased to have any hope for decency at all. It really has been a drag on our civilization for 100 years as I have mentioned many times, but Trump took it to a new low.
I have felt for a long time, it would be relegated to a far right fringe party like the ones in Europe, and replaced by a different type of party.
But one thing to consider, IMO, is that the Democratic party since FDR has followed the science of a humane modern social system that follows what is taught in every university in the country, more or less e.g. social humanity, universal health care and robust social safety net.
So I can't imagine what the ideology of a new and different party would look like?
For a blue print of a modern humane society, Finland may be the top country in the world e.g. it is one of the happiest, humane and intellectually sophisticated countries e.g. it seems to be a leader in solving its homeless problem.
