The Deadpool - One Million Total Casualties Thanks To PooTin's Three Day War of Choice
As someone who is rooting for Ukraine's victory, I may have gotten caught up in confirmation bias that drastically underestimated Ukraine's casualties.
Here are the latest figures from the WSJ:
One Million Are Now Dead or Injured in the Russia-Ukraine War (WSJ Exclusive)
Dead Ukrainians: 80,000
Wounded Ukrainians: 400,000 (ratio of 5:1 wounded:dead)
Dead RuZZians: 200,000
Wounded RuZZians: 400,000 (ratio of 2:1 wounded:dead)
It's not clear to me just how severe the injuries are. I'm inclined to believe that most of the wounds suffered by Ukrainian soldiers are superficial and treated in a timely manner, while the wounds suffered by RuZZian soldiers are often untreated because RuZZians are treated like meat.
But since I have no confirmation of that, I'll have to take the numbers for what they are.
And they aren't good.
We really need to step up our aid to Ukraine. Allow them to strike deep into RuZZian territory. Give them many more armored vehicles, artillery shells, HIMARS, ATACMS, etc. Step up the training of F-16 pilots. If we don't have enough trainers, get more. Allow the Ukrainians to strike RuZZian oil tankers going to China and India, just like RuZZians strike Ukrainian grain shipments to Africa. Make RuZZians feel it in their pocketbooks.
Either that, or we should just send Trump as a "peace emissary" and have him end the war tomorrow.
Either fight to win, or don't fight at all.
