Astute. Don't forget many of the super-rich are neo-Malthusians. They regard humans as a kind of pollution on the earth.

Bill Gates comes to mind. He pictures himself as a kind of benevolent savior of the 3rd world with his vaccines. Probably a way for him to sterilize youngsters.

None of these folks are willing to admit most developed countries are already below the replacement birth rate. I suppose they will only be happy with an outright collapse in population.
