First Call estimates are for LSCC to make $2.50 for 1997 a year to year increase of $0.50 or 25% estimated growth.

The stock is selling at 14 times trailing earrnings and 11 times next year's earrnings. As the analysts recongnize the growth rate this stock should be selling for atleast 20 times next year's earrnings or $50.00.

The company's low density PLD'd business is solid and LSCC is one of the lowest cost producers with their manufacturing partner UMI in Tawain. This segment of the business is their bread and butter and consistantly grows at 10% per year. In fact. Altera recently droped many of their low end PLD's so they could focus on higher margin products. LSCC quickly picked up this business. Currently 65% of their revenues come from this segment.

The company wants to expand to the higher density gate products and has a goal of obtaining 60% of their revenues from these products by end of 1997. The Sun Workstation deal is just one of their accounts where they see higher than expected order levels. I believe other high end accounts include 3COM, CSCO and Bay Networks but I do not have any indication of order quantities from these accounts.

I think the market will be surprised with earrnings over the next few quarters and they could very eaisly beat the $2.50 estimate for 1997.

Hope this helps
