Lane 3, I'm disappointed. I mistook you for reasonable and intelligent.

Hohum... Just another one. At least there's still Wharfie who does a good portion of reasoning and facts.

Not only do I know the USA would happily use atomic bombs first in a sneak attack, they've already done it. Twice. So you're wrong on that.

You obviously didn't read my post about the effects. They are not tame. The effects are not simply in the target area. But of course the obliteration is in the target zone.

Putin's and Russia's response looks very reasonable. I'm not surprised so far other than I thought Russia would lose in Ukraine. With China and other support they turned out to do really well.

USA tried the coup, takeover and eviction. Oops a daisy. Failure. Now a million dead, tens of millions refugee, $trillions in carnage and damage. A huge failure.

In life, recognizing one's own stupidity and failure is wise. But it seems you and Americans generally can't do that.

My point about evaluating full MAD is to estimate the outcome thirty years later. USA will have gone. There'll be plenty left elsewhere, mainly in parts of the southern hemisphere.

My hope is that there will be a fifty bomb escalation and a truce will be called. Hopefully the targets will be carrier fleets, military bases and not cities.

But Americans are quite mad as outsiders can read right here, thank you for expressing your selves. So it's likely they'll talk about appeasement and bluffing and psychobabble and abuse people and go full Dr Strangelove. Did you see that movie many decades ago?

I had no idea who he was until several decades later = Stanley Kubrick was brilliant. Best movie maker ever. See Full Metal Jacket, 2001 A Space Odyssey, A Clockwork Orange, etc. Eyes Wide Shut.
