I have no intention of lightening up on this thread.

Rumours hurt the stock. And many, many people read SI for information. Particularly in the case of Naxos, since there is no brokerage firm coverage, SI is one of the few outlets for information. SI has no impact on Intel but it does on Naxos. And when people do an SI search for Naxos they will find both threads. The fact that this thread was set up for this idiotic purpose is irrelevant as people will find both and the information will get out. Also your boy Saint goes on the other thread advertising for visitors.

If you wish to compare my expressed distaste for rumours with what went on on the IPM thread you are sorely mistaken. I have never had a problem with speculation or what if calculations. I am not trying to take the fun out of discussing Naxos. But I am trying to get rid of the cancerous practice of people claiming they have specific numbers that they know are coming out within a certain time frame. This is clearly hype and has a long term corrosive effect on the stock. Also if true they are a blatant violation of the law and will give us major problems with the SEC down the road. If true it is insider info and illegal, if not true they are hype and part of pump and dump campaign. In either case they are bad.

I have a significant investment in Naxos. It is not my largest investment by any means but probably in the top 10. I am not a passive investor. I become active and pursue my research. When I have found something with an investment I find questionable I get involved. I write letters, contact company officials and board members. I have done so with several stocks including Naxos. I consider this no different.

These rumours are a cancer. I intend to defend my investment. I will demand attribution. Someone has a juicy rumour I will demand attribution. If they can't come up with it I will keep after it. If they continue to pursue this practice I will let SI management know since I believe posting purposely false and misleading information is a violation of the terms of use. If this ruins some peoples fun, to bad. If you want to have fun losing your money, go to Atlantic City. I'm going to actively defend my investment and that means finding truth whether good or bad.
