COREL LAWSUIT HEADS TO COURT
A legal battle between Micrografx Inc. and Corel Corp. is headed to court after mediation efforts failed.
ÿTexas-based Micrografx filed a lawsuit Jan. 9 that Corel's latest version of Print House Magic infringed the "look and feel" of its American Greetings CreataCard software.
ÿ"It was a good opportunity for both sides to have a frank discussion," said Ed Pearce, Micrografx's vice-president of corporate development and general counsel. "The matter was left unresolved."
