Funk...

DK..jargon for Don't Know. ....

ie....I call ABCD firm for a trade....buy 5000 GE at 77 1/8. The trader does the trade at MLCO. He sells to me, I buy.

Later, the stock runs 2 points higher. Trader realizes he just missed 10K$. As we try to lock it in on the electronic ACT system which locks in phone trades, I realize he didnt put his side of the trade into the system for locking.

I call him. What do you know, he DKs the trade. Yamner? hmmm, don't remember that call sorry.....
With tape machines and honorability?, it doesnt happen much and over the past few years, I cant remember having it happen more than once or so. It happens more in the context of the person saying, "10000, i thought you said 1000, no sorry, we know 1000, not 10."

DK- dont know.
