INDEX UPDATE
-------------------------

To continue from my earlier update - the question I now have is what options to buy on the long side.

Obviously most of the sectors are at their highs and the premiums appears to have increased, which makes it tougher on us option players.

The XOI and OSX which have good upside room, are highly influence by the price of CRUDE, so unless one knows where the price of crude is going in the short term (1-10) days then this sector has strong risks.
Also, the SOX and DDX are still more in the value end on a technical basis.

There is really not much as for value plays now amongst the indexes.

The other approach is to determine the strengths in the market and go with them.

The strong indexes on a technical basis are:

NDX
IIX
CWX
YTK (STRONGEST)
XAL (DEPENDING ON PRICE OF OIL)
DRG
XCI

The last area of opportunity is individual stocks, so hoping we can get some feedback with specifics in this area. Hope we can get more to contribute to this specific topic and to this thread. I am personally looking for stocks now, in light of the tougher selections amongst the indexes, and I really dont follow stocks so would greatly appreciate comments on specific equities option plays.
