The reason the African American votes about 90% Democrat is because the Democrats have had their back for the last 70 years.

A persecuted people know who the friends and enemies are!

Specifics: Republicans and Southern right wing Dixiecrats voted against the 1964 civil rights agreement!

Every single Liberal in congress voted for it!

Then the Republicans used Lee Atwater's racist Southern Strategy to push back integration and win over Dixiecrats.

The Republicans have NEVER helped the African American.

And today, where do the African Americans have power?

In the Democratic party, and none in the Republican party.

So anyone who thinks African Americans will ever vote Republican in the foreseeable future is smoking something!

And now the Republicans have lost the kids and the ladies for their stupid racist and sexist policies.

No one holds MLK in that low regard. A good man, but I wonder if blacks would have been better served following the example of Malcolm X.
