My 1/2 cent:

First off, the poll should really be :

  • Candidate A
  • Candidate B
  • Other
  • None

Otherwise it may be more like a certain selection, eh, election that occurred not long ago in the real world™.

But it started as separate polls, so be it.

  1. Person should be willing to communicate and interact a little with the readers of this board.
  2. Person should be somewhat active - not just waiting for complaints, but also looking at some of the posts to get bad actors before they have a zillion posts.
  3. Person should be patient and professional.
  4. All within reason - as much as moderators do on other boards.
  5. Person should be willing to maintain the character of this board.

You may have other points??

Now the question to everyone - which one of the two is most likely to perform all or at least more of these points than the other one?

Of course the problem with these polls is that bad actors can come in and select the opposite.

I think both of these guys are very generous (all those that moderate boards) to offer their moderation service, especially given the salary.
I know I couldn't do it, even if you tripled the salary!

Or perhaps some form of co-moderation is possible??
