Chart from your article highlights the widening LT performance divergence we've seen between Gold stocks & physical Gold.

For years, per posts, my wag continues that the stocks can be very profitable Trades during powerful moves in the underlying metal. But conservative investors long ago concluded holding physical in their personal custody is by far the safest LT B&H strategy. Why?

Because Brokers & other financial intermediaries are all too willing to be collection agents for gov. confiscation. It's been that way for thousands of years with the worst transgressions against citizen property rights occurring when empires are in rapid decline.
