Before the SI reset, the same happened to me, even though (I believe) I was on good terms - possibly it was the same board as where you got banned :-). I even had discussions with the mod on some topics for certain things that we agreed upon. Because I made some fairly neutral posts on one of the right forums. I didn't follow politics much or know much the difference between left and right (and the similarities...). I think that ban served very nicely to help wake me up to the realities, so I would like to indirectly that that moderator. It made me realize of the overall hate and intolerance in the left leaning boards and the overall acceptance in the right. When I first started posting in the right meaning boards, to tell you the truth I was a bit nervous, and then surprised at the acceptance and willingness to explain/counter - even when I posted things that turned out to be against the flow; similar thing in the left leaners and I would have had quite the opposite reactions.
