DAVID, I am not much of an OO guy, but it was my simplistic view that ...

... on the negative side:
- OO was still not ready for high volume transaction systems due to the overhead of the messaging required to run OO
- OO skills in the marketplace are scarce
- the tools market to support OO development is not mature
- initial development cycles are longer

... on the positive
- OO reduces time to market of subsequent solutions
- OO reduces maintenance cost.

IMHO, It seems like a risky move to base the future of the Genesis project on OO. Agree? Disagree? Think I'm off my rocker?

And please tell me that IBM is not working on this project.
