As an employee maybe you can shed some light as to why IFMX
has utilized copyright protection over patents as a means for
competitively securing their products. I realize this question
may not be one you deal on a daily basis, but watching Microsoft's
attempts at patent software left and right (all while criticizing
it as the best form of protection) I've become curious. I have
always counselled my employer-client to protect software by both
patents and copyrights. Having said this, I do believe Oracle also
follows the copyright path exclusively.
