Wow, Stewart! Thanks for the list. Any favorites among those? Frankly I'm a little overwhelmed. I'll add one more to the list that I found scanning for 10-12's yesterday:

Manor Care Health Services (NYSE: MRH)/ Manor Care, Inc (NYSE: MNR) Spring 98??

Owner and manager of assisted living and nursing facilities spinning off practically everything into Manor Care Health Services and leaving much smaller Manor Care Realty in it's wake. The Realty company will concentrate on finding and developing facilities which it will then rent and ultimately sell to MRH. The new, far tinier MNR will be highly leveraged. Seems reminiscent of the Marriot Host example in the book.

Actually, come to think of it, here's another-

Sunnybrands (I think. It's something like that) recently (4 months ago?) spun off from Choice Hotels (CHH) which was itself a spin-off from Manor Care.
It has traded all the way down to less than a 6 P/E. Could be ripe for some relief from selling pressure?

By the way, this is liable to be my last post. My trial membership is about to expire and I'm too much of a skin flint to fork over $125.
Good luck all and I'll be reading!

-Ray
